# Cookies

Global-e persists shopper country, culture, and currency in a single HTTP cookie so the Client JS SDK and storefront stay aligned across page loads.

Cookie name: **`GlobalE_Data`** (constant `geCookieName` in the cartridge).

The cookie is written in `int_globale` (`response.setCookieAppState`) when app state changes. Its lifetime comes from the `geCookieLifetime` site preference, and its domain from the optional `geCookieDomain` (JSON) preference — when `geCookieDomain` is not configured, the cartridge falls back to the current request host.
