# Customization

Global-e cartridges follow SFCC LINK partner guidelines: install **`int_globale`** plus a storefront extension without modifying `app_storefront_base`. Global-e **does not recommend** editing **`int_globale`** directly.

Extend behavior in **`int_globale_sfra`**, **`int_globale_sitegenesis`**, or your brand cartridge using the same patterns as SFRA/SiteGenesis overrides (copy or superModule extend controllers, models, templates, and client JS).

## Extension cartridge rules

If you customize a controller, model, or template from **`int_globale`**, copy or extend it in **`int_globale_sfra`** / **`int_globale_sitegenesis`** (or your brand cartridge) and keep changes out of core.

Some **`int_globale_sitegenesis`** templates override SiteGenesis core and hardcode cartridge IDs (for example `importScript('app_storefront_core:catalog/libCompareList.ds')`). Update those IDs to match your project's core cartridge when needed.

After installation, align existing brand logic with Global-e using either approach:

* Customize scripts and templates in **`int_globale_sfra`** or **`int_globale_sitegenesis`**, or
* Move overrides into your brand cartridge.

## Hiding non-applicable elements

Hide domestic-only UI for Global-e operated countries by checking session or app context. Example from **`int_globale_sfra/cartridge/templates/default/cart/cartShippingMethodSelection.isml`** (shipping methods do not apply to Global-e checkout):

Common elements to hide for Global-e customers:

* Domestic shipping methods on the cart page
* PayPal or other domestic payment methods on the cart page
* In-store pickup
* Domestic customer service contact information
