Gift Message

The gift message feature enables customers to include a heartfelt message with their gifts, creating a more meaningful and memorable experience. This feature offers merchants a way to stand out by providing added value for customers during the purchasing journey and enhancing customer satisfaction for those purchasing gifts.

The gift message section is seamlessly integrated into the checkout flow, ensuring a smooth customer experience. The feature only appears for orders containing physical products, ensuring relevance. When enabled, this feature replaces any existing "Customer Comments" section to avoid redundancy.

By adding emotional value to the purchase, customers are more likely to complete their orders. Customers who feel their needs are met are more likely to return for future purchases

Customer Journey

  1. During checkout, customers are presented with the option to include a gift message. This section is visible below the D&T section.

  2. Customers can opt to include a gift message by checking the displayed checkbox.

  3. Once selected, a text field appears where customers can type their personalized message.

Customizable Messaging

  • Default text: "Add your gift message here..."

  • Merchant-specific: Add a personalized messages tailored for specific brands.

Enablement

The feature is configurable per merchant, allowing businesses to decide if and when to activate the gift message option based on their strategy. Merchants can customize the display texts to align with their brand's tone and messaging.

Analytics & Insights

Merchants have access to data on feature usage, such as:

  • Percentage of customers who opted for the gift message feature.

  • Insights into the popularity of the feature across campaigns or seasons.
