# GlobaleSettings

This job is part of the default Global-e SFCC cartridge functionality. **GlobaleSettings** pulls data from Global-e browsing APIs and stores it in SFCC custom objects used by pricing, checkout, and storefront logic.

Run this job after metadata import and whenever Global-e configuration changes. It is the only Global-e job enabled by default in `metadata/jobs.xml`. After you complete the mandatory [Data API](/configuration-sfcc#data-api-mandatory-for-new-integrations) OCAPI setup, Global-e can also start this sync over OCAPI when configuration changes.

## Site context

Assign **GlobaleSettings** job flows only to sites operated by Global-e. The sample `jobs.xml` uses a placeholder site ID (`RefArchGlobal`); replace it with your site IDs during deployment.

If cache price books are enabled, the generate → import → update-hash → sync-combinations steps run as part of this job (in that order). See [Price calculation](/price-calculation-sfcc) for how cache price books affect browse-time pricing.

## Organization context (Business Manager cartridge path)

Steps with `<context site-id="Sites"/>` (`GlobaleImportPriceBook`, `GlobaleUpdateCachePriceBooksConfigHash`) run in **organization** context. Custom steps resolve scripts from the **Business Manager** cartridge path (`Sites-Site`), not from storefront site cartridge paths.

Ensure **`int_globale`** is on the BM cartridge path before running this job — configure manually in Business Manager or via `b2c sites cartridges add int_globale --bm --position first`. See [Cartridges](/cartridges-sfcc) § Business Manager cartridge path.
