What is a Split Order?
A split order is an order for which some items can be shipped at different times.
Order items are shipped at different times when:
Some items do not currently exist in your warehouse (pre-order, item is out of stock, and item was ordered as a backorder)
– or –
It takes additional time to prepare items per customer requirements (such as tailor-made shoes, engraving on jewelry, and more).In such cases, these items are shipped to the customer at a later stage, while the rest of the order’s items are shipped immediately; hence the order is split.
