Marketing Propositions Feature

The Marketing Propositions feature page describes what the feature is used for and how to access it.

Using the Marketing Propositions Feature

The Marketing Propositions feature lets you configure marketing propositions, such as the following:

  • Change the shipping rates and coefficients for individual countries or groups of countries

  • Define campaign shipping rates

  • Define shipping rates for returned products

Accessing Marketing Propositions

The Marketing Propositions feature lets you set up campaigns and configure your email notifications. To use these features you must first access the Marketing Propositions page.

To access the Marketing Propositions page
  1. Navigate to Configuration > Marketing Proposition from the top menu.

  2. Select a merchant from the Merchant menu.

    The Focus Countries list is displayed showing all added countries.

  3. Do one of the following:

Marketing Propositions

From the Marketing Propositions page you can do the following:

The Marketing Propositions page includes the following sections:

  • Focus countries - Countries that were defined as your focus countries during the on-boarding process with Global‑e.

  • Zones - Comment: Need short description like above.

Focus Countries

When you access the Marketing Propositions page a list of Focus Countries is displayed. Focus countries are countries that were defined as your focus countries during the on-boarding process with Global‑e.

From this region you can:

  • Change the shipping rates and coefficients for individual countries or groups of countries

  • Define campaign shipping rates

  • Define shipping rates for returned products (“returns”)

The following image shows the Focus Countries region of the Marketing Propositions page:

Comment: The source PDF describes the View Information functionality, but the Admin GUI doesn't seem to include the Information icon, so I didn't include any of that content in this page. Please confirm whether this functionality still exists, or if there is another reason that the Information icon isn't displayed.

Adding Countries

Once you've accessed Marketing Propositions you can add countries in the Focus Countries section if needed.

The procedure for adding countries depends on whether you're adding your first country or countries or adding to a list of existing countries:

Adding Your First Countries

If needed, you can add countries to the Focus Countries list.

To add your first countries
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Add Country.

    The ADD COUNTRY panel is displayed with a search field.

  3. In the search field, type the name of the country.

Adding Countries to an Existing List

If needed, you can add countries to the Focus Countries list.

To add countries to an existing list
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Add Country.

    The ADD COUNTRY panel is displayed with a list of countries.

  3. From the ADD COUNTRY panel, click ADD corresponding to the countries you want to add.

    The countries you selected are added to the Focus Countries section.

Search for Countries

From the Marketing Proposition page you can search for existing countries.

To search for countries
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Type the name of a country in the Search a country field.

Setting a Focus Country Coefficient

After adding your country or countries, you can set their country coefficient(s).

To set a Focus Country coefficient
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Marketing Propositions on the left menu.

  3. Expand the row corresponding to the country you want to set the country coefficient for.

  4. From the COUNTRY COEFFICIENT slider, set your country coefficient.

    The maximum Country Coefficient setting is 25%, and the minimum is -25%.

    Note

    Increasing your country coefficient percentage leads to a decrease in your conversion rates.

  5. Click Save or Cancel.

Setting the Cart Range

After setting your country coefficient you must set the cart range.

Comment - We should provide a short explanation of what a cart range is and what it's used for.

Setting the Cart Range
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Marketing Propositions on the left menu.

  3. Expand the row corresponding to the country you want to set the cart range for.

  4. In the Cart Range section set the lower and upper cart range for each range level:

  5. Optional - Add or delete cart ranges:

    • Click Add Range to add a range and define your values.

    • At the end of the row, click Trash_Csn.png to delete a range.

  6. Click Save or Cancel.

Setting the Shipping Rate

After setting your cart range you must set the shipping rate:

Note the following when setting your shipping rates:

  • Shipping rate fields set to Rate indicate that the price is not flat, but is based on the rate card. You cannot modify shipping rates set to Rate.

  • You cannot modify the number of available shipping rates (Express, Standard, etc).

  • You must enter prices for all shipping rates and their cart ranges.

  • Shipping rates and cart ranges set to 0 indicate that the service is free.

  • Faster shipping methods must have higher shipping rates than slower shipping methods. For example, the express shipping rate cannot be set to less than the standard shipping rate. When a faster shipping method is free, slower shipping methods are not displayed.

To set the shipping rate
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Marketing Propositions on the left menu.

  3. Expand the row corresponding to the country you want to set the shipping rate for.

  4. Set the shipping rate(s).

  5. Click Save or Cancel.

Zones

When you access the Marketing Propositions page the Zones region is displayed near the bottom of the page below the Focus Countries.

Comment: Need to include brief description of what Zones are and what they are used for.

From this region you can: Comment: What are the main things you can do from the Zones region? The below is an example from the Focus Countries page.

  • Change the shipping rates and coefficients for individual countries or groups of countries

Setting a Zone Country Coefficient

After defining your focus country or countries, you can define your zone's country coefficient.

To set a zone country coefficient
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Marketing Propositions on the left menu.

  3. Scroll down to and expand the Zones region near the bottom of the page.

  4. From the COUNTRY COEFFICIENT slider, set your country coefficient.

    The maximum Country Coefficient setting is 25%, and the minimum is -25%. Comment: I copied this from the Focus page. Is it relevant here?

  5. Click Save or Cancel.

Setting a Zone Cart Range

After setting your country coefficient you must set the cart range.

  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Marketing Propositions on the left menu.

  3. Expand the row corresponding to the country you want to set the cart range for.

  4. In the Cart Range section set the lower and upper cart range for each range level:

Setting a Zone Shipping Rate

After setting your cart range you must set the shipping rate:

Note the following when setting your shipping rates:

Comment: Do we want to document the different shipping types (Express Courier, Express Courier (Air), Standard Courier, etc)?

Campaigns

From the Campaigns page you can do one of the following:

Creating and Canceling Campaigns

The Campaigns feature lets you create and cancel campaigns.

To create and cancel campaigns
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Campaigns from the left menu.

  3. Click Add Campaign to add a campaign.

  4. Type a name in the Name field located in the New Campaign panel.

  5. Select a start date and time.

  6. Select and end date and time.

  7. Optional - Select Free shipping for the cheapest shipping option.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Search for and select a country or countries to include in your campaign.

    You can click Select All to select all of the countries in the list.

  10. Click Create Campaign.

    The Campaign Details page displays the new campaign.

  11. Click Save.

  12. To the right of the new campaign, do one of the following:

    • Click Cancel to cancel the campaign and click Apply.

      The campaign is canceled.

    • Click Edit to edit the campaign.

    • Click Reuse to create another campaign based on the new one.

Searching for Campaigns

From the Campaigns page you can search for existing campaigns and add new ones.

To search for existing campaigns
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Campaigns in the left menu.

  3. Type a campaign name in the Search a campaign field.

Returns

From the Returns page you can do one of the following:

Searching Returns

From the Returns page you can search existing returns.

To search returns
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Returns from the side menu.

  3. Search for a country from the Search a country menu.

Creating and Canceling Returns

From the Returns page you can create new returns and edit and cancel existing ones.

  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Returns from the left menu.

  3. Click Add Country to add a country (optional).

  4. Click a row to display the country’s cart range and express courier (air) fee.

  5. Click Trash_Csn.png to delete rows (optional).

  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the Zones region at the bottom of the page.

Change History

From the Change History page you can search and view records of all changes made to marketing propositions, campaigns, and returns.

To view your change history
  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 in Accessing Marketing Propositions.

  2. Click Changes History from the left menu.

  3. Type a country or zone in the Search a Country Zone field.

  4. In the Between and And calendars, set a date range for your search.

    Selecting the And date activates your search.
