Global‑e Hub Operations Flow -- taken from Slide Parcel Flow Operations

This section details the flow of a parcel in the event of a consolidated shipment and how the Global-e operator implements the process once the package arrives at the global-e hub.

  1. The parcel arrives with its domestic label (applied by the merchant) at the Global-e warehouse (hub).

    Status in the Admin:

  2. The operator inspects the parcel for damage. If the parcel is damaged, the operator contacts the merchant. The package is either returned to the merchant or Glocal-e repacks and relabels it. (show me)

The Global‑e operator uses the Global‑e Admin to change the status to:

  3. The operator uses the Global-e Admin to process the shipping labels and documents:

Scans the domestic label and prints it onto the dedicated carrier label , and affixes the carrier label to the box (or boxes).

If the order contains a single parcel, the operator prints the shipping documents (Airway bill and custom documents, if required) and applies them to the box.Labels and Shipping Documents

If the order contains multiple parcels but not all orders have arrived?, Global‑e holds the order until all the parcels have arrived and then prints the shipping documents and applies them to the boxes.

Shipping via the Merchant Hub

Basic Flow Merchant Hub

The merchant can perform the entire shipping procedure from the merchant's warehouse and use the Global-e services.

  • If using Express shipping and Europe Road, the merchant can perform the entire process from the Merchant warehouse. Orders shipped with other shipping options can be routed to Global‑e Hub.

  • The Global‑e Label is optional

  • The End of day Manifest is optional

  • The merchant can send split parcels but this requires implementing the manifest.

  • Faster shipping to the end customer for Express

This step requires using two fulfilment systems ???? (unless the Global-e API is integrated)
