This job is part of the default Global-e SFCC cartridge functionality. GlobaleProducts pulls product restrictions and end-customer country product VAT rates (when configured on the Global-e side) and stores them in product custom attributes:
  • Global-e RestrictedCountries (geRestrictedCountries)
  • Global-e Is Forbidden (geIsForbidden)
  • Global-e VAT Rates (geVatRates)

SFCC staging

  1. Go to Administration → Operations → Services → Service Credentials.
  2. Update the service credential with ID Globale-RecentProductCountryS:

SFCC development

No change to the default credential configuration is required. Important: schedule this job on staging and development instances only. Configure staging to pull from the Global-e production account; product attribute data is replicated to production during SFCC catalog replication.

Multi-account service credentials

When multiple Global-e merchant accounts are used across SFCC sites, add site-specific service credentials. The cartridge resolves the credential automatically: for any Global-e service it first tries [BaseServiceID]-[geClientJsMerchantId] (the Client JS Merchant ID site preference for the current site) and falls back to the base credential ID if the suffixed one does not exist. Add credentials using the pattern [BaseServiceID]-[geClientJsMerchantId], for example (where 123/456 are the geClientJsMerchantId values configured on each site):
  • Globale-RecentProductCountryS-123
  • Globale-RecentProductCountryS-456
Set the correct Client JS Merchant ID (geClientJsMerchantId) per site. Coordinate with the Global-e integration team to validate SFCC site ↔ Global-e merchant mappings.
