The Shopper Journey
During the shopping journey, customers engage and interact with your brand, store, and products in their preferred language and currency. Our features offer multiple touch points with customers, highlighting your offerings. Customers can browse, buy and pay for your unique offerings with a convenient, easy-to-navigate, frictionless customer journey.
When international customers visit your website, Global-e automatically detects their country. The Global-e Welcome pop-up greets shoppers in their language and can offer promotions and other enticements to customers.

An optional Marketing Banner at the top of your website shows shoppers promotional messages in their language. Marketing Banners invite visitors to start shopping – for example, inviting them to enjoy low shipping costs.

A Country Switcher at the top of your website conveniently lets shoppers set or change the shipping destination to their preferred destination. Customers can open the Country Switcher and use the Country Switcher Pop-Up to change their currency and shipping destination. Choose from over 200 countries with default currencies or using other currencies.

Shoppers have the added convenience of shopping in their local currencies in your website. They can add products to their carts in their local currencies, taking advantage of up-to-date conversion rates, charging using country coefficients and rounding rules, and chosen currency symbols.
Customers use the configurable Global-e checkout to complete purchases.Customers can select their preferred language to complete the checkout process and adjust the accessibility settings. Customers can review their order summaries and choose from popular payment methods per country and get country / continent-specific duty and tax calculations.

During checkout, customers can enter the shipping and billing details with autocorrection depending on configuration. If the provided address is incorrect, an alternative address is suggested to the customer. Shoppers can select from country-specific shipping options from standard to express, and view and prepay duties and taxes. If supported, customers can add gifts to the orders or use loyalty cards or vouchers. If supported, customers can enjoy flash sales or coupons.
Once payment has been verified and approved, the order is confirmed. An email notification notifies the shopper of the status of their order. Shoppers can use the Tracking Portal to track their orders. See Tracking Portal.
Shoppers can use the Return Portal to return or replace an order or part of an order. Alternatively, the Merchant can return or replace orders on behalf of customers. See Returns Portal.
